Our Story

We’re so stoked you’re here — truly. We’re Mili & Kai, newlyweds who just planted fresh roots in New York after running our creative business in Texas for the past nine years. We were both born in California (South for Mili, North for Kai), but New York holds a special kind of meaning for us — it’s where we met, where our story began, and now, where we’re building our life together.

We’re endlessly drawn to the outdoors — the ocean, camping trips, surf sessions, long hikes, paddle boards at sunset — especially when they’re shared with our family, closest friends, and our dog, Bruno. That sense of connection, movement, and presence shapes not only how we live, but how we create.

Photography and filmmaking began as creative outlets — a way to hold onto fleeting moments. With both of our families rooted in the wedding industry, it didn’t take long to realize this work felt familiar… and deeply aligned. Weddings, in particular, hold a special place in our hearts. There’s nothing quite like a day where all the people you love most gather with intention — where time slows, emotions are worn openly, and every moment carries meaning. Being trusted to witness and preserve that — the quiet glances, the nervous laughter, the unplanned magic — is something we’ll never take lightly.

What started as a passion project grew into a full-time calling — one that continues to light us up every single day. Mili’s work is nostalgic and emotive, centered on the real, the raw, and the beautifully imperfect. Kai’s filmmaking brings depth and intention, blending cinematic storytelling with emotion, movement, and a strong sense of place. Together, we create honest, soulful visuals that celebrate connection in all its wild, tender, and in-between forms.

After a decade of building our business in Texas, stepping into this next chapter on the East Coast feels both grounding and full-circle. We’re deeply grateful to do what we love — documenting love stories in a way that feels lived-in, intentional, and true.
